FAQ’S

  • Can Any Materials Not Go in the Bin?

Please do not place any hazardous waste materials such as ashes, tires, batteries, asbestos, chemicals, pesticides, paint, propane tanks, etc. If any hazardous waste is found in the bin after it has been returned, the cost of environmentally responsible disposal of the waste will be billed to the customer.

  • How High Can I Fill the Bin?

Please ensure that the level of waste in the bin does not exceed the top rim. The top of each bin must be covered with a tarp before it can be transported, and filling it past the top rim impedes our ability to do this.

  • What If I Am Done with Bin Early?

If you are finished with your bin before the end of your 7-day rental period, feel free to give us a call and we’ll schedule a pickup.

  • What is Cleanfill?

A clean fill bin is a bin that contains only one of either soil/sod, gravel, broken up concrete, block, asphalt, or bricks. If any other material is found in the bin, it will be considered a solid load and additional dumping fees will apply eg. 1 Bin = Concrete, 1 Bin = Rock, etc. An additional dumping fee of $119/tonne with a minimum 1 ton charge will be charged on mixed loads.

  • Will My Driveway Be Damaged?

We take great pride in protecting your property. We ensure that your driveway never comes into contact with our bins by placing wooden blocks under the front and back sides. This removes the possibility of your driveway being scratched or gouged.

  • When Will My Bin Be Delivered?

We guarantee your bin will be delivered between 7 am and 5 pm on the first day of your rental period. We will do our best to provide a more specific delivery time on the day, but variable conditions such as weather, traffic, and distance make this difficult. If a specific time is required, please let our office know and we’ll do our best to meet your needs.

  • What Areas to You Service?

We service Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and surrounding regions.

  • What If I Need My Bin for Longer Than the 7 Day Rental Period?

If you need to extend your rental period of a bin, an additional fee of $50/day will be charged for each day you keep the bin beyond the original rental period.

  • What Bin Size Should I Use?

The bin size you should use depends entirely on the size of your project. A small bin may be appropriate for a simple garage cleanout, whereas a major home renovation will require something larger.

  • How Much Notice Do I Need to Give for a Bin Delivery?

It is best to assume a 1 to 2 day delivery period after ordering a bin to avoid any timing conflicts, but same-day deliveries are possible.

  • Do You Provide Lids?

We do not provide lids for our bins, however, we can recommend buying a low-cost tarp from National Bins in order to cover the top of your bin. Please let us know if you require a tarp when you order your bin.

  • Do I Need to Be There When You Drop off the Bin?

You don’t need to be home when we deliver your bin, but please be sure to provide clear instructions on where you want your bin placed.

  • What If I Need to Rent More Bins?

If you require any additional bins feel free to contact us and we will provide an additional bin for the same additional cost as your original bin rental.

  • Can I Put My Bin on the Street?

We will happily place your bin on the street, although depending on your municipality you may need to get a permit to keep it there legally.

  • Why Should I Rent a Bin Instead of Hiring a Junk Removal Service?

A bin rental has no associated labour costs and is therefore always significantly cheaper.

  • Can I Put the Bin on Any Surface?

We recommend placing your bin rental on a flat, non-sloped surface, which is why a driveway is an ideal place. We are also able to place the bin on a lawn if it meets the conditions stated above, but caution that a lawn is often a soft enough surface that a bin rental may leave ruts once it has been removed. If this is the case, it is the customer’s responsibility to repair the damage.

  • What Payment Options Do You Accept?

We accept all major credit cards. After the bin has been returned the total bin cost, as well as any additional fees, will be subtracted from the deposit and any remaining funds will be refunded to you.
