About Guelph
Considered to be one of the first planned towns in Canada, Guelph was designed by John Galt to attract settlers, both to the core and to the surrounding countryside. The plan for the town was imaginative, and resembled European cities, with streets radiating from the Speed River as its focal point. City construction requires bin rentals to remove clean fill and debris.
